When and where is the RMC?

This year’s RMC will take place October 6-9, 2022 at Brown Bottle Farm in Mulino, Oregon.

Fertile Substrate, the pre-RMC work party, will take place September 30 – October 2.

What are the box office / gate / will call hours?

Thursday: 12 PM – 9 PM
Friday: 7:30 AM – 9 PM
Saturday: 7:30 AM – 8 PM
Sunday: 7:30 AM – 1 PM

Everyone must check in during the hours listed above.

PLEASE NOTE: Registration is not open 24 hours. If you leave the RMC after gates close, you will not be allowed back in until gates open the following day.

Can I purchase a one-day ticket?
Not yet! We will be releasing a limited number of day passes later in the year.
Do you anticipate selling out of tickets before the RMC starts?

Yes! The last RMC (in 2018!) sold out well in advance of the event, and we expect this year’s Convergence to sell out as well.

Do you sell tickets at the event?
No, we do not sell any passes at the RMC. All Convergence attendees must purchase their ticket before Thursday, October 6.
Is there parking at the Convergence? Does it cost money?

There is a parking lot at the RMC, which requires a Parking Pass to enter. All Parking Passes must be purchased in advance as they will not be sold on site.

Upon registering, all Full Pass attendees will receive a link to a rideshare board to facilitate carpooling.

Please note that the parking lot of the RMC is a grass field that may be muddy during the time of the Convergence.

Is there a rideshare board or carpool link?

Yes. All registrants will receive access to a free rideshare board as a part of their welcome email. Here they will be able to find drivers or riders, depending on their needs.

Do I need to purchase a Car Camping Pass?

Full Passes include free tent camping, but not parking or car camping. If you’d like to camp with your car, you’ll need to purchase a Car Camping Pass in addition to a Full Pass. Car Camping Passes are limited and allow the ticket holder to camp next to or inside their car. They are only valid with a Full Pass and do not give access to the event without also purchasing a Full Pass. Only one Car Camping Pass is needed per car.

Can I bring my camper, RV, or camper trailer?

Is the RMC an all ages event?

Yes! The RMC is an all ages event BUT anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. A legal guardian must have proper documentation. No exceptions.

Will childcare be provided?
Yes, the RMC offers free childcare during all workshop sessions. Childcare at the RMC will be led by a certified childcare provider, and all childcare volunteers have experience in caring for children.
What is the bathroom situation?
There will be numerous portable restrooms on site that will be serviced daily. There will also be several composting toilets for attendees wishing to use this alternative bathroom style. Rustic hand washing and drinking water stations will be positioned throughout the RMC, though no showers will be available on site.
Are there Security and Medical teams at the RMC?

Yes! The Security and Medical teams will be on duty throughout the Convergence. If you need assistance at the RMC you can contact any RMC staff member via the Registration Tent.

Is the RMC clothing optional?

The RMC celebrates freedom of individual expression, and while we love all bodies, this is a family friendly event, so we ask that things stay PG-13.

Is the RMC a drug free event?

Consumption of alcohol is permitted and cigarette smoking is allowed in designated areas. All other drugs or illegal substances are not permitted. Anyone caught with illegal substances will be escorted from the event and may face legal consequences.

Can I bring a pet?

Unfortunately, no. To protect the site’s resident animals, the RMC has a strict no pet rule. Only documented service animals required for a disability, and that are trained to handle active environments, are allowed at the Convergence. If you have a service animal, please contact us before the event.

What if my pet is a service animal?

The RMC is hosted on a private farm which is home to dogs and livestock. We will be able to accommodate a limited number of service animals. If you wish to bring your service animal to the RMC, please contact prior to registration so that we can ensure there is space for the animal.

If your pet is a service animal, you must bring a copy of your pet’s service animal registration documents. We will not allow non-registered service animals on site.

Will there be somewhere to leave items that I don’t want to leave in my tent/car?

We recommend not bringing items of value to the RMC. The RMC is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Is there a lost and found?

Yes, lost and found is located at the RMC Registration Tent.

Will there be water for sale?

No, single use water bottles are not sold at the Convergence. Please bring a reusable bottle and refill at one of our drinking water refill stations located throughout the site.

How can I get involved at the RMC?

Whether you’re a 5-timer or this is your first RMC, we welcome ALL to take part in co-creating our community. Take it one step further and get involved at the RMC in 2022! We’re currently seeking volunteers, teachers, artists, vendors, performers, & food tents/carts to make this year’s event the best yet!

What is the RMC Photo Policy?

By attending the 2022 Radical Mycology Convergence, you consent to being filmed and or photographed, whereas your image, voice, and likeness may be used by the RMC for promotional purposes.

Any photography or video taken at the RMC, whether in digital or analog format, is subject to a mandatory, non-exclusive license to the RMC for use in promotional purposes.

Any artwork or performances sponsored by the Convergence or taking place on the RMC grounds is also subject to a mandatory, non-exclusive license to the RMC for use in promotional purposes.

Are you concerned about the COVID-19 virus affecting the RMC?

While we are monitoring the situation closely, we are moving forward with plans for this year's RMC. If the event is cancelled due to Covid, ticket holder will have the option for a refund or to hold on to their ticket for a future Radical Mycology Convergence. In the event of postponement or cancellation, an email will be sent to the email address provided by you in the ordering process to notify you of the event status.


How big is each campsite?

The RMC camping area is free form. There are no pre-plotted or reserved spaces, though there is ample space for tents of all sizes.

Are generators allowed?

Due to safety, noise, and fire concerns, the use of any portable gas-powered generator in the camping area is not allowed.

I have a Car Camping Pass and my friends do not. Can we camp together?

There is a designated Car Camping area that is separate from the tent camping area. You will not be able to park near the tent camping area, nor will you be allowed to pitch a tent near your vehicle. Please plan accordingly.

Does each person inside a vehicle need a Car Camping pass?

No, you’ll only need one car camping pass per vehicle. Only one person in the vehicle needs to purchase a car camping pass if you plan to camp with the vehicle. Each adult needs their own Full Pass to enter the RMC.

What is the difference between the Car Camping Pass types?

A limited number of car camping spaces are available on site for an additional fee of $50 for vehicles not exceeding 8 feet in width and 20 feet in length, and $100 for vehicles over 9 feet in width and up to 32 feet in length. Car camping passes must be purchased when you register for the RMC and will not be available for purchase on site. Please plan accordingly.

Are there showers?

No. Public showers will not be available at the RMC.

Can I bring my speaker set-up to play music in my camp?

Yes, though we ask that you listen respectfully and observe camping area quiet hours of 10PM - 8AM.

Are campfires allowed?

No, personal campfires or open flames are not permitted at the RMC.

What about cooking and grilling?

Enclosed propane grills can be used in the designated cooking area, but NO open flame or charcoal grills will be allowed. As October is the end of fire season and there will likely be burn bans and dry organic material that can catch fire, we ask all attendees to please observe the rules and regulations set around personal cooking and fire safety.

Do I need a physical ticket to get into the RMC?

You will need the digital QR code generated when you purchased your ticket(s). When you arrive at the event we will scan your QR code to check you into the RMC. You will then receive a wristband that corresponds to your ticket type. Wristbands must be worn visibly throughout the duration of the event.

Are there trash and recycling containers at the RMC?

No. The RMC is a "Pack In, Pack Out" event with no containers available on site for disposing of your trash or recyclables. Please plan to take home ALL trash that you generate during the RMC.



Is the site wheelchair accessible?

The terrain at the farm is uneven and there are areas with steep grading, thus we do not consider it wheelchair accessible. Read more about the 2022 RMC site here.
